Just a quick post to try out my new blog. Sami, my stalwart girl friday, will be reading and posting my blogs via email as I'm not certain I'll be able to post directly from China. This post is us trying to work out kinks in that plan.

Terracotta Warriors

Terracotta Army, 兵马俑 (bīngmǎ yǒng, lit "soldier and horse funerary statues") The terracotta figures, dating from 210 BC, were discovered in 1974 by some local farmers in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, China near the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor.
